ARENA UPDATE

March 13, 2020

At OLYMPICVIEW ARENA, the safety of our customers and employees is always foremost in our minds. As we all continue to feel the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization and local governments. OLYMPICVIEW ARENA is mandating the following to create social distancing for all skaters, hockey players and arena staff.

  • One Parent may accompany a minor participant into the facility for their activity.
  • Once skater/player is on the ice, we ask that you wait in the car for the duration of their ice time.
  • When at all possible drop off and pick up your skater / player at the front door.
  • We will monitor session attendance and close sessions if they appear to be full.
  • If you or anyone in your household has signs of feeling ill, please stay home.

We will be constantly monitoring the situation and may make changes to this policy at any time, so please check our website for any updates.

Thank you,

COVID-19

WISA is continually monitoring the evolving situation with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and its impact on our region. We are aware that some schools are taking actions as they respond to situations at their particular locations. At this time all Washington Ice Skating Association figure sessions, LTS, practices and games are going on as scheduled. We continue to closely monitor the guidance

from the King County Public Health Department and the Center for Disease Control (CDC).

In the meantime, here are some guidelines from the CDC for you to follow:

  • Frequently wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. When soap and running water are unavailable, use an alcohol-based hand rub with at least 60% alcohol.

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

  • Wipe down your cell phone routinely.

  • Cough and sneeze into your elbow/arm, not your hands. Wash your hands afterwards.

If You’re Sick or Someone You Live With is Sick

  • Stay home if you are sick.

  • If you have a sick family member or roommate at home with COVID-19 refer to CDC guidance for how to conduct a risk assessment of potential exposure.

For more information on mitigating your risk, please visit the CDC website.
